Patience and Perspective: July 2015
http://ourprettylittlefamily.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 16, 2015. We are halfway through our summer and I feel like we've been staying pretty busy. Between play dates with friends, going to the splash pad, the pool, and the playground, I can confidently say I've succeeded in wearing the kids out *almost* every day. We actually stayed for 3 hours and even ordered a pizza! She was shy the first day and I thought we would have a problem when I left, but they said after a while she settled in and started to participate and had fun. We go on vacatio...

Patience and Perspective: May 2015
http://ourprettylittlefamily.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Josh always says that when he's working a lot and doesn't see the kids for a day or two, that when he does finally see them they seem to have grown and changed in just those couple of days. I think he's right. Even being with them every day I can see it. Audrey not as much now that she's older, but in the boys it is definitely true. A little bird there! Is it something I am doing wrong? Anyways, he's nearing his first birthday and I am so unprepared! Third child.I've at least...

Patience and Perspective: 25 Weeks!
http://ourprettylittlefamily.blogspot.com/2012/08/25-weeks.html
Thursday, August 23, 2012. Here's a belly shot from yesterday - at 25 weeks pregnant (about 6 months) and a belly shot when I was 25 weeks pregnant with Audrey. Do you notice the BIG difference? However, compared to the earlier part of my pregnancy my energy is way up! I'm actually being productive during Audrey's nap time instead of taking a nap myself (though I do nap some days). And yes, apparently she was equally active and also was trying to claw her way out of my uterus.*. There you have a thorough...

Patience and Perspective: Walking, Talking, ONE!
http://ourprettylittlefamily.blogspot.com/2015/06/walking-talking-one.html
Thursday, June 18, 2015. Walking, Talking, ONE! Nathaniel turned ONE year old two weeks ago! He started walking 2 days before his birthday and WOW he picked it up so fast! JJ on the other hand, while he does enjoy those things, is a lot more subdued. He's happy to just sit on the couch and do nothing.Audrey and Nathaniel are not physically able to do that. haha. After the play place, we went home and had cake that Audrey helped me make. He liked it! I don't have the energy for that anymore. :(. Oh, thank...

The Many Hats of Debi Cates: Thatsa big acorn
http://debicates.blogspot.com/2011/01/thatsa-big-acorn.html
Saturday, January 22, 2011. Odessa, Texas. Jan 20, 2011. I love these big acorns. I like the frilly edges too. And according to this site. A burr oak is a good candidate for making acorn meal, with less tannin than other oaks. I've got to remember that next year in the fall. Everything in Texas is supposed to be bigger. I had no idea that the burr oak had such big acorns. Ive looked for them in ET but never have come across one. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). West Odessa, Texas, USA. S by Debi Cates.

The Many Hats of Debi Cates: Ansel the Dog
http://debicates.blogspot.com/2011/01/ansel-dog.html
Wednesday, January 12, 2011. West Odessa, Texas. Jan 12, 2011. Ansel is named after the famous American photographer Ansel Adams. I named him that because I found him while I was out taking photos one day. That and because he's black and white. He was just a puppy, dumped, scared, starving, with hardly had any life left in him. Now he's full grown, full of life, and turns out to be one big knucklehead. PS He licked my camera lens after this photo. Ditto on Oakland Daily Photo. West Odessa, Texas, USA.

The Many Hats of Debi Cates: It's Bobble Time again
http://debicates.blogspot.com/2011/01/its-bobble-time-again.html
Thursday, January 13, 2011. It's Bobble Time again. It's Bobble Time again. West Odessa, Texas. Jan 13, 2011. It's out of focus, it's grainy, but man I love the composition the dried heads of sunflowers and saw-tooth daisies make in the winter, "bobbles" I look forward to every year. I always love your blues. I dont even have the words to adequately describe how your blues make me feel. I love your bobbles too, the way they dry such a nice straw color, the roundness, the beauty even when dry. Donna's Wes...
