Band Aid This Saturday! Carman Collegiate’s Band Aid will return to the Active Living Centre this year on Saturday, May 10 from 7 pm to 12 am Doors open at 6:30 pm Tickets for the all ages rock show are $5 in advance, $7 at the door and $20 for a family pass for two adults and two children. Band Aid This Saturday! Band Aid began in 2008 for two primary purposes. The first, of course, was to raise money for the high school's band program, and the second was an opportunity for the organizers to perform and put on an event. The first Band Aid in 2008 featured three bands, Frequency, The Royal We and The Pirates of the Boyne. The event also featured a few songs from Carman Collegiate’s Jazz band. Now playing as Quicksand. Rounding out the show will be performances by Band Aid alumni members.

Navigating life one day at a time. I am so excited about my fall race schedule, though my wallet might not agree. September 22 Miracle Miles 15k. September 29 Tower of Terror 10 miler. October 29 Alzheimers Walk. December 1 Orlando OUC Half Marathon (formerly OUC). I wanted to run this 2 years ago but I had to work. The nice part of my new job is no weekend events! Our training group is all running this, and I hear there is beer at the finish. January 13 Disney Marathon. I finally signed up yesterday!
