An incredible $111,000 was raised from the auction of the seven Heart Strings guitars at the Cocktail Evening in Christchurch on Friday night, with all profits going to the Christchurch Arts Community via Creative New Zealand. “This was the first time in New Zealand that an online auction and a live auction have been combined and it was a huge success” said event organiser, Sheena Hemens of Go To Events.

A Heart Strings Store will be created and you can bid on one or more of the Guitars from the Store. All bids are binding. The auctions will end during the Event on the 24th February and the highest bid at the time of closure will win the Guitar. People can bid from the Event from their iphones or ipads using the Trade Me App or from supplied Lap Tops.
