Students seemed to really enjoy learning about Santa Cruz history and being "Mystery History" detectives. I hope they have had the opportunity to share their experience with you. This week there is an extra cursive component in our homework packets. Students are asked to write 5 of our spelling words twice over. Packets are due on Friday, as usual. The very last part of it you literally have to climb across the spine of the mountain using chains anchored to the rocks. I even made a joke at the beginning of the hike, saying that Jared better not propose at the top, for fear of falling off the mountain. I was, of course completely joking and had absolutely no idea what was to come. I quickly recovered and gave him a resounding YES!
