Gail-Nina Anderson: The Vampire's Own Alphabet and other poetry
http://www.gail-nina.com/poetry/index.html
The Vampire's Own Alphabet. Is Anatomised, cut up and pickled. Is for bruises, which shouldn't be tickled. Is Cadaver, greyish and greenery. Is the Devil's Gorge, Satan's own scenery. Will Eliminate, terminate, End. Is the Fiend oft disguised as a friend. Is the Ghost, wraith-like and liminal. Is the Hangman who waits for the criminal. Is the Incubus, riding your nights. Is the Jugular, throbbing for bites. Is the Kite flown to harness the lightning. Is the Lamia, lovely but frightening. In 2004 Gail-Nin...

Welcome To My World. Entries by tag: bsfa. Elizabeth Hand @ The BSFA. On Wednesday evening I headed up to the City for the regular monthly BSFA meetup in it's regular venue, The Argyle pub near Holborn Circus. This month's guest was Fantasy Writer Elizabeth Hand. It was standing at the back as this was the biggest attendance I'd seen so far at this location. Many familiar faces were in the audience. More Pictures from The July BSFA. The blog with more. Writers International - the saga concludes. 3rd Dec, 2008 at 9:49 AM. Well, the wheels of The Insolvency Service do grind exceeding slow. So, anyway, I decided to see this through to the end, via the administrators and receivers. More out of curiosity than expectation of ever seeing any money. Juliet E McKenna, however, has been paid 38.47. So, less the 12 bank charges those bouncing cheques cost me, that's effectively 26. Better than nothing. 3 comments Leave a comment. Unless his ro...

An initiative that's grown out of the exhaustive (and exhausting) investigations made into all this by Gillian Spraggs. The more voices unite to protest, the better chance we have of being heard. The blog with more. What’s in a name? 9th May, 2007 at 12:00 PM. The thing is he kept his parentage a secret while he was building up an impressive reputation in the short story and small press arena. According to a quote in SFX, ‘My agent didn’t know about my dad for eight years.’ But now that the secret’s out, and Heart-Shaped Box is delighting horror fans, he’s apparently getting comments like ‘what parts of the book did his dad write? So what about the most recent trend in pseudonymising? There’s alw...
