Was that enough R's? Making Linux "Easy" - Take 2. Names have been hidden to protect the guilty, but while lurking in the Hardware Abstraction Layer channel on Freenode (#hal), I saw this:. I'm looking for a command line program to mount and unmount as opposed. To having icons show up on my KDE or Gnome desktop, as I don't use KDE. Or Gnome, or even have a Desktop. Really bothers me. Was that enough R's? Linux for Newbs :-). Well, here's a change from the usual posts - I'm going to do a bit of a rant, I guess. Speaking about downloads, here is an interesting piece of statistics found in the latest Linux Mint weekly newsletter: "Seven mirrors were made available for [Linux Mint 2.2] Bianca. Three of them counted 592,950 downloads." Linux Mint has been climbing rather dramatically on the DistroWatch's Page Hit Ranking statistics and the download figures - nearly 600,000 (!

Was that enough R's? Slackware 11 release - soon! Well, it looks like Slackware 11 will be releasing very soon. I'm rather anxious, but not because of the normal reasons - I'm running -current, so a new stable release means we can get back to some new and exciting changes in -current instead of just stability upgrades. Was that enough R's? Three weeks after her untimely death, Jade now has a memorial stone to mark her final resting place. Thanks to Nancy McComas at Carved Graphics. For working with us on it. She agreed to place a custom image on it for us, and we are very pleased with the result. I certainly hope that none of you find yourself in a similar situation with losing a beloved pet, but if you do, I can recommend Carved Graphics. Posted by Robby Workman @ 22:37. Links to this post. Was that enough R's? Bad news. As of 1630 CDT 29 September 2006, Jade. Is confirmed dead. I found her about a mile away on the side of the highway - she was struck by a vehicle at some point yesterday. I can only hope that she didn't lie there in pain wondering why her mommy and daddy weren't there to help her. Too, later on) that it's hard to imagine life without her right now.
