Monday, March 23, 2009. And First trip to the Zoo. As promised we have had brighter days, here is a happier post to make up for my pouting! Since it was 74 on Friday, (lets not talk about the highs today,) I took the kids to the zoo. My friend has a zoo pass to so it was great to get out and see friends! It is so cheap to get a pass and now we live pretty close, we would go just for the ice cream and park- fun day. We did family night on Tuesday instead of Monday since Tuesday was a special day. Sunday, October 25, 2009. So this is a bit of a different post for me. I was listening to one of my favorite shows, The Music and the Spoken word. They gave a thought that really struck me and wanted to share. Here is hoping it touches any who read it, as it did me! I am starting the week out with a thought in mind! Monday, December 30, 2013. Geocaching in Dubai Dec 2013. I was visiting with a friend and somehow geocaching came up- talking about summer activities probably. She had never heard of it. So I explained and showed her the app. She got excited and said, "Let's go find one, right now! So we gathered up the 7 kids and went on a walk. Dubai doesn't have nearly as many as anywhere else we have searched, but there happened to be one about a mile from her house. We found it! We logged our first one in Dubai!

Monday, June 8, 2015. Leftovers from May 2015. Still can't help snapping a picture of our baby when I catch her sleeping. She is still awfully sweet. It has gotten hot. It is unpleasant to try and run outside, but I sometimes go for a brisk walk during gymnastics. It helps when the sun goes down. In about 15 minutes, I can get over to the Ells Golf Club and it's pretty nice to walk around. We have heard they have a good restaurant from a few friends. This was a trip for laser tag with some homeschoolers.

Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Fit Republik Gymnastics Competition - 12 June 2015. Exactly one week after the competition in Abu Dhabi, we had another one at our new gym. LOVED the location. We left the house 10 minutes before we needed to be there. The only problem with that was that there was limited seating and we did a lot of standing for the first hour or so. Stephanie, Grace and Jack came to cheer on Jess as well- Grace made a great sign! Jess and Aleaha- haven't run out of discussion points yet.

Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Karen's Birthday - 15 June 2015. We were flying out the next day so we tried to keep birthday jazz simple and combine it with useful things like packing and weighing suitcases. The girls helped make Chocolate Igloo cake now that I got a couple of necessary ingredients from Amazon. It was decent, but we are going to try again in the fall when it's cooler. We'll figure out something to celebrate or just have it for Thanksgiving. They did my age in binary candles. How old am I?

Saturday, February 28, 2015. Matt's Parents' Visit- with lots of pictures. The kids were still in jeep rapture mode, so we played a little and took off the front of the roof (EASY! After everyone was up and fed, we piled into the two cars (Matt's and the jeep) and went down to the Marina. We saw the beach, some great big billings, strolled around, and had a late lunch.
