Less frequent, but far more challenging are the intermittent ‘missed communication(s)’ These calls usual originate with a complaint of, “crew missed the first 2 pages for a call.” Intermittent problems such as this can be very difficult to diagnose. Possible causes include (in no particular order):. User error on sending and/or receiving end. Transmission failure along corridor (console, IP gateway, IP Network, IP Endpoint, Radio source).
