Danton Chin's Blog on iOS Development. CocoaConf, Washington, DC March 28-29, 2014. I hemmed and hawed about going to CocoaConf. And after deciding that I did want to go I went to register only to find that it was sold out. I placed my name on the wait list thinking that it would be unlikely that a spot would open up. But then one did! And now after attending my first CocoaConf. To more advanced developers seeking to expand their knowledge. I attended AV Foundation Film School taught by Chris Adamson,.

Ending Irrational HULK SMASH - /home/mbrennek

Ending Irrational HULK SMASH. Gave a wonderful talk at CocoaConf. In Seattle about about getting physically angry at bad code and how that’s not a good thing. That struck me particularly hard because I too get irrationally angry when I see bad code. If I’m lucky a long walk around the track at work is enough to calm down, but more often than not it seems like my whole day is shot and I go home grumpy. Isn’t panning out while I watch one sit and read slashdot all day. Posted by Matt Brenneke.

http://mbrennek.2nw.net/2014/10/cocoaconf-seattle.html
2014 CocoaConf Seattle Recap. I just spent this weekend at CocoaConf. In Seattle, and it was great. From Daniel Steinberg. Rsquo;s Swift Kickstart, to Gus Mueller. Discussing Core Image, to Paul Goracke. First was Andy Matuschak. As an asside, Brent Simmons. Had spoken the night before about (not) shipping Vesper for the Mac yet, but gave an impassioned arguement on why we should be writing Mac software. So this new side project is going to be written in Siwft, on iOS and Mac. Posted by Matt Brenneke.

Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Groovy / Grails User Groups. Technology user groups benefit both a technology. With the companies behind it) and its users. Java user groups around the world played a big role in the adoption and advance of the Java language and platform. Even now that Java is in its old age (or on its deathbed, depending on who you talk to), JUGs are actively promoting educational and community-building initiatives. List on Google Groups. I've always said that the best feature of Groovy and Gr...

Objective-C and Cocoa Touch code for iOS. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Author Archives: Mark Pospesel. Device orientation vs interface orientation. May 23, 2014. Just today I got bit by confusing device orientation and interface orientation. I really should know better. Device orientation is of course the orientation that the device is currently being held in, while interface orientation is the orientation of the running app’s user interface. This works fine at first blush, especia...
