Forget-Me-Not-8: January 2010
http://forgetmenot8.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 14, 2010. Recently we had "freeze" and a bunch of homeschoolers gathered at Frog Pond for some ice skating! A friendly game of hockey. Here's Paul, going after the puck! It was a bit snowy (as you can see by the trees in this picture) so we shoveled off the ice before we skated. It's warmed up now, and has been raining these past couple of days, :( but there is still a lot of winter left and we're hoping to get some more ice skating in. And I even got the solo part I had tried out for.

Forget-Me-Not-8: May 2010
http://forgetmenot8.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 29, 2010. This past week has been. Hanging out at Settler's Cove beach. No, we're not fooled. the water is. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Some of you will remember the small house/shed on the side of our property. It was very old, full of junk, and starting to come apart, so we decided to tear it down and rebuild it into a more usable space. Tearing it down. (definitely the best part). A little help from Uncle Paul. Getting ready to lift wall #3. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. All 16 of us. We found a ton...

Tuesday, July 27, 2010. A very close friend of ours died in a plane crash a few days ago. Please pray for his family; his wife and four kids, who just lost their husband and dad. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Her appendix had ruptured. The doctors went right into surge...

Forget-Me-Not-8: June 2011
http://forgetmenot8.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 18, 2011. Our sunsets have come back, finally, after a long winter and spring of ice blue skies. Our skiff rides made their way back as well. During a spell of amazing weather we decided to boat out across the channel and just spend the day having fun on the beach and the water. Blue, blue, blue. We pulled up onto the shore of long rocky beach, and proceeded to unpack the skiff. Somebody isn't too fond of his life-jacket. The Harder (but much more fun) Part. You're amazing Emma. :). Oh how...

Monday, February 14, 2011. A Little Catching Up. I've been informed that I am a terrible blogger-keeper-upper. :) .Life has been so crazy lately. So I've got some catching up to do. We had a good freeze about a couple weeks ago and spent lots of time out on the ice! Ward Lake never quite froze completely, but we still skated at Frog Pond. Carrie got a new camera lens. For Christmas. She captured this ice crystal pretty well (and no, she said she didn't edit it either). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). For I a...

Forget-Me-Not-8: December 2010

Monday, December 13, 2010. Road Trip Part 4! From warm, sunny Palm Desert we headed north. Avoiding I5, Dad took us through lots of snowy mountain passes where the "view" was prettier. While driving through Carson City, NV, we stopped at a children's museum. Then we headed up to Oregon (yep, I'm really whippin' through this) :) and stayed with a couple different friends that live around the Portland area. The ski lifts up were half the fun! The view from the mountains was amazing! Goodbye red rock and ou...

Forget-Me-Not-8: April 2010
http://forgetmenot8.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 26, 2010. On Wednesday evening we were just sitting down to dinner, when we got a call saying the fishery was going on 2 hour notice. Two hour notice just means that fishery. In two hours, and you should be within 2 hours distance of the fishing grounds). We had been planning on going on the fishery, but had thought it wouldn't start for a few more days and that we had plenty. Well, the boss called us again a little later and said that even if we left. Sunset on Friday evening! It was a lon...
