Ready, Steady, Create

Ready, Steady, Create. Saturday, November 5, 2016. Let us make some Jewelry. Time to create a lovely Fabric Necklace. I love making Jewelry out of different materials and it was fun making this one. Let me show you how :). 1-Take any fabric( I used a sheer material). 2-Cut it into a circle. 3-The edges will have some loose threads that you can easily seal with fire. Yes :) take a lighter and simple run the fire along the circle. That will take care of the loose threads and keep the fabric intact. It lowe...

Twenty-Something*Tumbleweed: May 2012

http://twentysomethingtumbleweed.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. First day on the summer job. Three gals who love to read, praise my skills at preparing Ramen Noodles, embrace neon nail polish, and keep me laughing all day long. We playdough-ed, sang, swam, explored, trampolined-tumbled and made big plans for our adventures over the next few weeks. And all of this in one day. I don't like candy land because sometimes I don't win". Do you have a boyfriend? Is he fat or skinny? What a lovely day! Can I have an ice cream sandwich". Ready to go out ...

Coots in the Capital: November 2013

http://cootsinthecapital.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Saturday, November 30, 2013. We had lots of family fun this Thanksgiving! On Wednesday night we drove to Tomball to have Thanksgiving with Kyle's side of the family. We stayed with Kyle's grandma and went over to his aunt and uncle's house the next day for lunch. Nonna cutting the turkey! Kyle's cousins Olivia and Addie kept Lane entertained and it was like we had hired babysitters! He had fun playing outside with them and talked them into playing upstairs with him when we were inside. We stayed until af...

http://cootsinthecapital.blogspot.com/2014/10/ellis-paige-2-months.html

Thursday, October 9, 2014. ELLIS PAIGE - 2 MONTHS. Our little girl turned 2 months old on June 11, 2014. She had her 2 month checkup that same day, and moved out of her house in Austin the very next day! As evidenced by these pictures, she is very smiley! AT 2 MONTHS, ELLIS:. Loves her brother and smiles when he comes around. Hands out smiles to others often, and even likes to smile at inanimate objects! Loves to kick her legs and move her arms. Is outgrowing all newborn clothes and wears 0-3 months now.

Coots in the Capital: July 2014

http://cootsinthecapital.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Memorial Day Weekend 2014. Memorial Day weekend was sort of our last, full weekend in Austin before our move. The next weekend we were in DFW for Ellis' Sip and See and a birthday party, and the next weekend was spent frantically packing before the move-out. We planned a big garage sale for that Saturday to purge some of the things we just didn't need anymore. It is amazing how much can be accumulated in just 2 years! How many people do you think asked "How much for the baby?

Coots in the Capital: September 2013

http://cootsinthecapital.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 27, 2013. The post I have been waiting to write for a very long time is here! After a long wait, Kyle and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting a new baby, due April 14, 2014. Lane is going to be a BIG BROTHER! Picture taken in Laguna Beach 8/15/13*. Back when we decided we wanted our first child, we basically didn't even have a chance to "try! I found out I was pregnant with Lane the month I got off of birth control, so this waiting thing was new to me! From when I found out!

Coots in the Capital: April 2014

http://cootsinthecapital.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Happy Birthday, Ellis! On Thursday, April 10th, we decided to take a family walk on the trails near our house. I had been to the doctor 2 days earlier for my 39 week checkup and hadn't made too much progress since the last week. Earlier that day I had started having some small contractions here and there and decided that maybe a nice long walk would induce labor! What would be our last family pic with only 6 feet. :). My big belly and my big boys! Lane LOVES their bread! By 3am...

Twenty-Something*Tumbleweed: laissez les bon temps rouler

http://twentysomethingtumbleweed.blogspot.com/2013/02/laissez-les-bon-temps-rouler.html

Tuesday, February 12, 2013. Laissez les bon temps rouler. Happy Fat Tuesday from Dallas! I ended up with the baby in the teachers-lounge king cake and did my grandparents proud by chasing down a Cajun food truck 30 minutes away to ensure tasty boudin (no, spell check, thats a real word! And Jumbalaya by dinner time. My last trip to NOLA was pretty emotional, and my last Mardi gras parade was what I believed to be my last-first date. I had some flasbacks today for sure. This poster says it ALL. :). Cook, ...

Sunday, February 3, 2013. We welcome you with open arms. Ha la loo ya! This short little month packs it in -. A determined ground hog reminds us that a sunny spring day isn't ever too far,. Purple, pink and red suddenly match anything,. Hearts make the perfect accessory - on a notebook doodle or in a candy bowl,. And "the good times roll" on at full speed - leaving the post- holiday blues behind. But you also bring us back to what matters. Love. Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone. A CUP OF JO.

Twenty-Something*Tumbleweed: virginia is for lovers.

http://twentysomethingtumbleweed.blogspot.com/2011/05/virginia-is-for-lovers.html

Sunday, May 22, 2011. Virginia is for lovers. While I knew it was a blessing to have another year in C'ville, to have time to transition out of student. I remember feeling really devastated that June. Little did I know I was about to see a whole other side of Charlottesville and that I would have a second go-round with making a new group of pals that I would consider not only confidants and side kicks, but my teaching peers and best friends. After I lived in it with these ladies -. I loved spending Satur...

Twenty-Something*Tumbleweed: big boy Everett! (and a belated Austin post...)

http://twentysomethingtumbleweed.blogspot.com/2013/02/big-boy-everett-and-belated-austin-post.html

Sunday, February 24, 2013. And a belated Austin post.). A month ago my main man turned two. I have been meaning to sit down and write him a note (well, his mom) about how special he is to me and how much I love having him in my life. It is hard to believe that this is his second birthday that I have come into town for. ( Remember this. It is NOT hard to believe that it was TWICE as nice as his first fete. That mama of his really has a way with details. :). She thought of it all! Sayings - "done," "uh-oh,...
