Now my husband and I run a guesthouse in Kyoto. Since we did the guesthouse many foreign guests visited here, and most of them are very interested in Japanese cuisine. I think that to know the cuisine is to know the country's culuture much more deeply. So I began to think about offering Japanese cooking class for our guests to become more familiar with Japan. I'd like to show not only cooking but also history, table manner and much more. I'm looking forward to seeing you and having a good time together!

Classes contain two to four people, and involve lecturing on the history and culture of Japanese cuisine, table manners, and dashi broth, hands-on cooking, and tasting the dishes as well. This is extremely hard to say, but I have to raise the lesson fee from Nov as followed due to a lift in prices of ingredients especially dried bonito, tuna and so on. Thank you for your understanding. Sushi and Dashi(broth) class. 2-6people The minimum is two students. Two kinds of sushi. Two or three side dishes.

All classes will be composed of 2-4people. The minimum is two students. You may be grouped with others. In case of one student, we'll ask the additional fee (1.5times as regular fee). So please contact us first. If you'd like to take a private lesson, an additional fee of 1000yen / person will be added. If you want to join the class with chldren, please contact us first. We're afraid we don't accept credit card but cash only. Let us know about your cancellation or rebooking as soon as possible.

About 5mins by local train (get off at Nijo Sta. 180yen) followed by a 6mins walk to the guesthouse. You should take the Sagano-Sanin line from platform #31-33 and get off at Nijo Sta. Go out from the Exit(East Side) and turn left(you can see the Gold Gym). Cross the Senbon-dori St. and walk down Oike-dori St. to the 1st light.
