My Private Nation: December 2005
http://rummybean.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Population of 1 since 1995. Saturday, December 31, 2005. What I am trying to do with my life in 2006. Few weeks ago I posted a note. Which seemed to suggest that I don't believe in goals/resolutions. I don't, really. But I do believe in making one's life better every year, every month, every week, every day. What's the difference, you ask? So in 2006, instead of making resolutions, I'm going to have a mantra. In 2006, I'll accept myself (even more). I'll be more optimistic.for me and my loved ones. Qns f...

My Private Nation: July 2005
http://rummybean.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
Population of 1 since 1995. Sunday, July 31, 2005. Searching for a potential home is stressful. It has to come at the right price, be in the right location, be the right size, it has to be near schools - good ones, near food joints - good ones, and be quiet yet convenient. Oh, and it has to be cozy and in good condition. Help. No, I am not getting married or even moving in with someone. I'm taking the plunge and buying my own home. It's a big decision and it may not happen any time soon, but it's exciting.

The Scientist Life: March 2005

Thursday, March 31, 2005. Farewell to a postdoc. Finally did my taxes today. If I waited till I come back from the meeting it would be cutting it way too close, and messing with the IRS is never a good thing. Posted by La Nuage at 12:10 AM. Posted by La Nuage at 12:04 AM. Thursday, July 28, 2005. Posted by La Nuage at 6:34 PM. Posted by La Nuage at 6:26 PM. Wednesday, July 27, 2005. Your Birthdate: October 28. Your birth on the 28th day of the month (1 energy) adds a tone of independence and extra energy to your Life Path. The number 1 energy suggest more executive ability and leadership qualities than you path may have indicated. A birthday on the 28th of any month gives greater will power and self-confidence, and very often a rather original approach. Today I love the f...

The Scientist Life: July 2004

Monday, July 12, 2004. My allergies have been acting up. Possibly related to Momo's reassuming his position as pillow cat. Good thing I am going to see the Allergist tomorrow morning. We'll see what he says. I finally got my annual report done. Now I just have to send it to Deanna tomorrow. Went for a run up royal oka to nohl ranch and then back home. Was only seven miles but it took its toll on me. My calves and quads are sore today, and I haven't been sore since my last race. Wednesday, July 07, 2004.

The Scientist Life: September 2005
http://moticus.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 30, 2005. All that discussion of food with Deb and Jill has got me thinking about the LA county fair. And I love the animals! Was almost tempted to go into the petting zoo, where they had the cutest little donkey. Though I have to admit I don't see the point of showing rabbits and chickens. And the pig races! I thought the little piglets would just meander around but they really know how to race! Posted by La Nuage at 12:02 AM. Wednesday, September 28, 2005. Sunday, September 25, 2005.

The Scientist Life: June 2005
http://moticus.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 27, 2005. I hate Mondays. The start of a new work week does not bring me any pleasure- I admire those who can face the week with gusto. For me it is usually a struggle to get out of bed, to get to the lab at a decent hour and to try not to be to crabby towards labmates. And the seemingly endless tasks that I have to complete. Ugh! Posted by La Nuage at 12:09 PM. Tuesday, June 21, 2005. Funny, this thing called ego is. Posted by La Nuage at 11:50 AM. Tuesday, June 14, 2005. I hate these frigg...
