I just created a new LJ solely dedicated to learning French. I am a beginner and thought that it would be nice to have a place where I could practice writing and memorizing French. I also thought that it would be good to have a place where I could save and share all of the videos I find that teach French; or that are just good for listening and pronunciation practice. Help me not to look like a moron! My grandfather's name was James Champagne. I was thinking perhaps to sketch out a champagne bottle with a label like "J'aimes" on it. You know, to phonetically spell out his name. My wife, who took some french in school, has said that she doesn't think that would be proper but she hasn't been able to explain to me why that would be.
