. . . . . . Queenie's Beads: Cellini
http://queeniesbeads.blogspot.com/2014/06/cellini.html
Thursday, June 5, 2014. Cellini beading is basically even count peyote stitch but graduated sizes of beads are used. You can work in flat, straight lines or diagonal, or even a pattern. You can work in tubular peyote in. A spiral pattern or straight rows. If you want to work in a chevron pattern, you may need to use odd. Count peyote, depending on how the pattern repeats. It's a good idea to start the piece with an even amount of rows of the 11 delica or seed bead first. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

. . . . . . Queenie's Beads: February 2012
http://queeniesbeads.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 13, 2012. I bought this enameled buddha pendant a few years back. Some times things just have to sit around a while before the inspiration hits. I had ordered the colors before we went to Fla, but still didn't have a firm idea of what I wanted to do. Then one morning I was surfing for Tai Chi instructions and happened on some pagado pictures. I knew then, what I wanted to do. This is just the embroidery portion. I need to do the lining yet, and the necklace portion will. Http:/ quimerasd...

http://queeniesbeads.blogspot.com/2014/11/so-now-were-ready-to-assemble.html
Saturday, November 15, 2014. So now we're ready to assemble. Again, my ball is 1 1/2". If yours is larger, you will need to make adjustments. I've made 4 medallions. To attach them, you'll need a top ring around the ball. Since there are four medallions, the number of beads in the top ring should be divisible by four. I have 24 beads in my ring around the top of the ball. Now we'll divide that 24 bead ring by 4. Add 7 beads to the thread and stitch through every 6th bead, 4 times. View my complete profile.

Thursday, November 13, 2014. Miniature Christmas Ball Ornament. This is a 1 1/2" ornament ball. You can make adjustments for a slightly larger or smaller ball. These are the directions for the medallion portion. You will need 4 of them for a ball this size. First - thread on 5 11/0's and tie in circle. Next add 1 11/0 in between each of the first 5 beads. You 'll now have what looks like a little star. Next add 2 superduos in between each of the last five 11/0's. Next row, add 5 11/0s over each pearl.

. . . . . . Queenie's Beads: December 2011
http://queeniesbeads.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 23, 2011. This one is in shades of ivory and terra cotta. Shopping for those was fun. Who knew there could be so many shades of ivory! I think the cab is some sort of agate. If you recognize it, please let me. I added a few copper accents, which I really like and just made up the stitching as I. Went along. Like a crazy quilt. I used a 1 1/4" aluminum cuff blank to maintain the shape. I flatten the area where the. Cab sits. And I used a soft flannel. Links to this post. Links to this post.

Tuesday, June 12, 2012. New Project - Making Beads. I guess the big test today will be to see if this blog posting goes through to the Hive. My last posting never went through. So here is what I am working on now. Making focal beads with earthenware clay. They are in for the first firing and then I will glaze and fire a second time. I'll be using a variety of colored glazes with a semi/transparent finish. Some will have floral and animal decals and be. Fired a third time. Links to this post. Bead and But...

http://queeniesbeads.blogspot.com/2014/11/next-join-medallions-on-sides.html
Monday, November 17, 2014. Next, join the medallions on the sides. Here, depending on the size of your ball, you'll have to experiment. Then, add your fringe, if desired. On the pink ball, I did straight fringe in varying lengths, and on the blue ball, I'm adding a simple branch fringe. There is no right or wrong way, so have fun with them. Experiment!
