Building a better human, one day at a time. Monday, September 29, 2008. Long course never felt so good. I think I'm getting used to this 50m pool thing. And I'm sure that's a good thing because that's a man-sized chunk of water. Short course is going to feel like the kiddy pool. 200m intervals were on the agenda today, the longest distance I have yet incorporated in to sets in long course. 2 x 200m free @ 5:00. Coming in around 3:20. I focused here on maintaining a fast pace, with long rests between.

Wednesday, July 30, 2008. 1000m (3:41, 3:43, 3:55). Notes: The luxury of being a graduate student. I could do another workout today. Like everything, rowing is a mental game. I'm putting my time on the court. Finishing the last 800m. 800m is a "not fun" distance. 50 unbroken "back" extensions is an interesting sensation. Notes: First time with this WOD. It is a good one. Technically, I did hip extensions. Next time: shave 1 minute and sub GHD sit-ups. Shout out to Brand-X. Great scaling for my friends.
