I was born in Cumbria and live in a small village 16 miles south of Coniston. I have never had the desire to live anywhere else than this beautiful county and feel very fortunate to live here. I have walked and climbed extensively in Cumbria, the highlands and islands of Scotland, Wales, Ireland, the European Alps, Norway, North and South America, China and Nepal, but am never happier than when back home in Cumbria! No blogs, twitter or Facebook - just a good day on the fells!
