britt by britt: July 2011
http://brittbybritt.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 26, 2011. I have myself my very own lovable fiancé. Wahoo! People keep asking me for all the deets so I thought it was about time I write a little post about the momentous occasion since it was indeed fabulous. The day's festivities started out groggily at 2:30am. Yes, you read that right. After going to bed around 1am, the sound of my alarm was not a welcome sound. I hurriedly got ready, barely notating the existence of my significant other due to the fog I was in. See what I mean? Well, y...

Wednesday, June 1, 2011. A temporary vegan, part 1. Part One: A Vegan Breakfast. As promised in my 30 before 30. More on that later. Sunday breakfast, my choice: vegan hash. The best part about this short foray into veggie-land was that I went into it overly prepared. I knew I'd be setting myself (and Sasha) up for failure if I didn't plan, so instead, I knew everything I wanted to buy to make this totally do-able. Sunday breakfast, Sash's choice: hash browns and vegan sausage. More on Vegan week soon!

365 Days of Gratitude: June 13, 2012: Shopping Local
http://ayearinthanks.blogspot.com/2012/06/june-13-2012-shopping-local.html
Wednesday, June 13, 2012. June 13, 2012: Shopping Local. Today was one of those days that confirms that my neighborhood is the best. So good in fact that it brought be out of my blogging shell. The long Summer days are begging me to stay outside for as long as possible in the evenings, so I headed out post-work to soak up the 'hood. I ended up also making some investments in the local economy. My first stop was the Farmer's Market. Today I'm thankful for local shopping. June 14, 2012 at 10:05 AM. I am a ...

Monday, October 31, 2011. Day 303: October 29, 2011. Today I am thankful for fun greeting cards. With all the great local printing companies, I don't think I have bought a Hallmark in years. My favorite spot to look is the bookstore down the street.just another reason to not buy an e-reader-I can't bear to think of it closing! Links to this post. Sunday, October 30, 2011. britt by britt: 12 years
http://brittbybritt.blogspot.com/2012/12/12-years.html
Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Miss you everyday, Grandma. My grandma Estelle always made sure that I understood that anything I dreamed was within my reach. If I wanted it, I could make it happen. As all of you who know me well know – I research EVERYTHING so eventually I found my answer. Though I’m not a magician and know that nothing will ever be as perfect as having her here in the flesh, I got as close as I could. December 19, 2012 at 5:25 PM. I love this. Beautifully written, and the moment was ...

britt by britt: a chair for jia joon
http://brittbybritt.blogspot.com/2012/03/chair-for-jia-joon.html
Sunday, March 25, 2012. A chair for jia joon. Recently Sasha and I were watching our favorite little person (aka Jia, our niece) for a day of zoo animals and froyo. On the way home, she came with us to drop some clothes off at the local Jewish Women's donation center. While we waited for Sash to drop off the bags, Jia and I wandered the aisles. Sash and I went to our local hardware store and selected the perfect shade of fuscia, which is basically Jia's signature color. Once I got home, we put a few ...

365 Days of Gratitude: February 2012
http://ayearinthanks.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 29, 2012. February 29, 2012: Leap Year. Today I am thankful for Leap Year. I don't know why, I suppose it's the novelty. I wonder how many women will propose to their significant others today? Or how many babies will be born? It would be both fun and annoying to have a Leap Year birthday! Links to this post. Saturday, February 18, 2012. February 18 2012: Sloppy Seconds. Today I am thankful for the "sloppy seconds" man on Market Street. I do not know his name, so I call him that. A cou...

365 Days of Gratitude: April 2, 2012: Clean Bathrooms
http://ayearinthanks.blogspot.com/2012/04/april-2-2012-clean-bathrooms.html
Monday, April 2, 2012. April 2, 2012: Clean Bathrooms. Today I'm thankful for clean bathrooms. Some people might judge a restaurant by it's food, it's decor, etc. I judge a restaurant by its bathroom. Dirty bathrooms are gross. I feel like a bathroom that is well-tended and clean and smells nice speaks volumes about what the kitchen must look like. This might be totally untrue as it isn't based on any first-hand knowledge, but it makes sense to me. And dirty bathrooms are gross. April 3, 2012 at 6:29 PM.
