September 14, 2013. So, I’ve written two posts now…both of which have disappeared somehow. Obviously I’m not supposed to give you all a full update of what’s been happening, so I’ll just say that I’m alive and things are going well. July 30, 2013. Crap day at work today, not surprisingly. You know how some days you just KNOW that something is going to go wrong? That’s how I felt this morning. Should finally find out tomorrow if I’ve gotten into my course or not. The guy took me or for a fancy dinner at a winery the other week. They had multiple knives and forks! Here’s the thing… with the exception of my career, I’ve never really been a “finish what you start” kind of girl. I’ve started and dropped more diets, hobbies, projects and book ideas that can possibly be counted. Remember the path to hell that’s paved with good intentions? After years of grad school, the writer’s block has been cracked good and deeply and my dissertation is complete, defended, and approved. All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.". Sweden: Countryside quest and Kyrka’s galore. Our time in Sweden was primarily spent on self guided road tour of the countryside; searching out small parishes where our ancestors lived and died. We visited many, many churches to get a feel for their lives and browse the graveyards in hopes of finding connections. Our first stop, Kopperberg, featured this gem. I have a job back at home with a 5 star hotel and I work for the events department as a waitress. Although all us of (we call ourselves the CnBebies….it’s the Conference n’ Banqueting department….we were exhausted when we made that name) dismiss the idea that we are waitresses. Skip to main content. Upgraded Site to Known 9.4. Upgraded this site to Known 8.5. It's always nice when the Grandparents drop in to light the Menorah #chanukah. Upgraded Known to 0.65. Look what I found parked (almost) in my driveway. Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection. That's one less thing to worry about. Bash shell updated to protect from the #shellshock. Wish I had the time to launch the Drone and snap some pics. My house from above. Happy to have my own install of Known up and running.
