Friday, September 5, 2014. It was a classic ,beautiful Summer . Well my tech free Summer is coming to a close, it's time to get back to work and back to a schedule of some sort. I have to say, I recommend a break from technology once in a while because it gives you a chance to focus on your loved ones without interruption and it frees up so much time to get to your to-do list too! Friday, May 29, 2015. A new chapter is here. It's certainly been a long time since I did a post! The last one I did was in September and I mentioned I was in a new chapter of my life. Well here it is. My daughter whom many of you know (Melanie) has been working all year with her brothers and myself on a fashion accessory line of bracelets. And it's featured with white coral beads which to me, are somewhat like sweet little pearls. Perfect with Jeans and a T or a pretty pink vintage styled dress too!

Friday, July 27, 2012. A new book and a new screen door. As I mentioned in my last post, I'm working on a new book. It's so thrilling and exciting to be able to do this, so I had to share! Really want your feedback. Would like to see! I'm going to try and included all of them! Ok on to a little project I just completed :) I felt for a long time Summer Rose needed a screen door, so last weekend I got out the wood and my little tools and went to work. I think every Summer Cottage needs one, don't you?

Outro dia encontrei estes bordadinhos com motivos de frutas muito bem guardado numa caixinha. Me lembrei que tinham sido feitos pela minha Mãe, e a mim entregue, para que eu usasse em algum projeto oportuno. Buscando idéias, resolvi colocá-los neste joguinho americano. Usei cores fortes e tecidos variados, tentando conseguir um bom efeito. Com a chegada de noites mais frias,convido vocês para uma xícara de chocolate bem quente. Para acompanhar, fiz estes "coasters" (base para canecas ou xícaras). Vou fazer muitos. Sabe aquele dia em que você resolve virar sua caixa de retalhos no chão, como criança quando. Despeja os brinquedos, e depois passa horas entretida.pois foi isso que eu fiz numa tarde dessas de muito calor. Descalça(detalhe! Abri um espaço no meio do ateliê, e comecei a cortar tecidos variados usando um molde quadrado de 6cm. Em seguida comecei a costurar, juntando de 4 em 4, como mostro na foto. Depois cortei tiras de 4,5cm e costurei em volta dos quadrados sempre seguindo o sentido horário.

This Country Heart Of Mine. Sunday, June 15, 2014. Barn Door Redone For Bedroom. On the right side which was the bottom of the door, and had some rotting. I was going to make my husband cut it off and cut the other side to match and make it even but I decided against it because it actually gave it character. Plus I didn't want the door shorter. The original hardware was still with the door which was great. I didn't like my bedroom for the longest time. It is finally coming together just how I like it...
