Sunday, November 13, 2011. Khristan's Party and the bees he brought with him. I mentioned earlier that Tan and I threw an advanced party for his birthday (which is on Thursday the 17th) and it was a lot of fun. I lost almost all of my allowance in the process, what with so much food to be cooked and alcohol to be bought, but it was fun. Tan was so giddy it was ridiculous (and absolutely adorable). We had a bonfire in our backyard. And Ruther would not leave it alone. Seriously. Of course there was booze.

Sunday, November 13, 2011. Khristan's Party and the bees he brought with him. I mentioned earlier that Tan and I threw an advanced party for his birthday (which is on Thursday the 17th) and it was a lot of fun. Thursday, March 3, 2011. I stood still here, as still as I could. I watched everyone go by, trying to get things done as soon as they could in this little alley, lined with copiers and people and the smell of ink. Where are we all going? Why are we moving so quickly, rushing? Why do we leave the people we love the most crying? Against the wind does my heart beat. Screaming in toil and pain. Make the tears fall no more. That it be only the rain to dance on my cheeks. As I weep for day, for night, to end.

Country Roses at a country wedding - bride, groom, ushers and bride-children happily adorned with roses in hair, buttonholes and thrown over the guests as they emerge from the tiny North Devon church on a stunning September day. We filled the tent and house with roses too (more pictures to come). Wednesday, 10 July 2013.
