No Place on Earth. The Fields are Alive. Splendour in the Grass. Inspired by the work of Jeff Wall, this folio explores the notion of sexuality from a different time in history. My starting point is anchored in 18th Century English Portraiture, exploring the work of Sir William Gainsborough and Sir Joshua Reynolds. Private thoughts is a visual articulation of sexual drives hiding behind the mannered conventions of the times. No Place on Earth. The Fields are Alive. Splendour in the Grass.

No Place on Earth. The Fields are Alive. Splendour in the Grass. These photographs are taken in Mandalay, the second-largest city and the last royal capital of Myanmar. I wanted to capture the continuing influx of immigrants, and rich diversity of communities working in and around one of the busiest markets in the city, Zay Cho Market (means good price market). This is one of the main hubs, always alive, with an abundance of smells, foods, and noises from the bustling community. No Place on Earth.

No Place on Earth. The Fields are Alive. Splendour in the Grass. The following photographs were taken at countless festivals and towns visited during three years in Australia, between 2006 to 2009. I have been greatly inspired by Robert Frank's candid and honest depiction of 50's America in his book The Americans. The festival environment allows me to get closer to the people I photograph, each revealing a playful nature, which you don't usually see. No Place on Earth. The Fields are Alive.

The things I love and what they mean to me. My 2013 Year In Review. 2013 was a busy, chaotic year with plenty of ups and downs, but ended with a handful of epic changes. I like to go through this exercise to make me feel fortunate for my friends and the doors in life that I get to open. These are roughly in order of when they happened. Started doing yoga 2-4x a week. Supped up my kitchen with all sorts of new toys. Learned how to make mozzarella. Went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Got a new job.
