I should first of all introduce myself . . . . My background is sales and marketing and I was previously the Managing Director of a global supplier of laboratory analytical instruments. I retired early and set up this small business which does what it says in the logo. In my early retirement in Reach, near Cambridge, I refurbished our home, using the power of the internet to identify suitable plumbers, electricians, bricklayers and decorators. Scanned versions are gradually being added to this website and can be viewed by clicking on the relevant months at the bottom of this page. In 2010 when the editorship of the magazine changed, the magazine was revamped with an A4 format and colour cover. The name was then changed to the more positive Within Reach. Site created and maintained by. The ancient township of Reach, or as it was previously know Reche, has been inhabited for over 2,000 years. Situated at the termination of the great earthwork known as the Devil's Dyke and with Reach Lode giving direct access to the sea, it survived the Norman Conquest as an inland port. Reche the port has gone but Reach the hamlet remains and continues to thrive. One great source of information on Reach (and surrounding areas) is British History Online.
