What Does Deafnet Do? Deafnet Association, Inc. is a501-C Non-Profit Organization that promotes the concerns that affect the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in the four state area. Deafnet provides services to the community thru:. A) Interpreting Services-available 24/7. B) Sign Language Classes, from basic classes through Interpreting classes. 1) Compliance with the American Disabilities Act, ADA. 3) How to use an interpreter. D) Helps with Auxiliary. 1) Smoke Detectors with strobe light.

By 1992 Deafnet had out grown the 10' X 10' room. We moved to 921 West Washington Street. The new building gave us space to hold our monthly meetings in our own place. Deafnet was able to hire our first employee. We were experiencing growing pains again in 2009 and needed more office and classroom space. In 2010, we began adding on an addition which we moved into May 2011. We now have four (4) full-time and four (4) part-time employees. 551 Jefferson Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
