Monday, February 28, 2011. I joined an on-line Gastric Sleeve Support group. I had never done anything like that before and had never been in a chat room. At first, I thought it was very strange, but now I am part of the furniture and have made friends. The support and information is amazing and makes you feel secure in understanding the processes. Thursday, March 3, 2011. D Day- - Dietician Day! I went to the dietician yesterday. It was another step on the path to the Gastric Sleeve surgery. It was a very positive meeting, and I was able to discuss a variety of issues: vitamins during the liquid phase and afterwards, food choices during the liquid phase and after, medications, etc… She also gave me literature—I love literature! I will meet with her 10 days after the operation and for a few more times after that. I can move around more easily.
