No One Is Going to Tell You to Do It. August 12, 2015. I’m linking up again with Debbie over at Deb Runs. For her Wednesday World weekly link up! Click on the image below to join in and see who else is linking up. This week’s word is initiative. Merriam-Webster has this to say about initiative (as a noun):. 1 The power or opportunity to do something before others do. 2 The energy and desire that is needed to do something. 3 A plan or program that is intended to solve a problem. Goodbye, for now, Annabelle
http://www.turkeyrunner.com/2015/08/goodbye-for-now-annabelle.html
Goodbye, for now, Annabelle. August 7, 2015. When we got Annabelle back in the fall. I knew she would not stay in our backyard forever. She’s a cow, after all, and cows get big. Too big for backyards. It’s crazy to think that she was just 35 pounds when she came to live in our backyard. She is not halter broken, which means she resists being lead by one, even when you’re trying to take her to greener pastures. But we finally did get her on the trailer, in the pouring rain no less (I was having Ragnar.

Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes…. August 10, 2015. We are officially on vacation at the beach! We drove down yesterday and had a smooth trip down with little to no traffic. It took us a little over 6 hours to get here, and that was with two stops. The weather was nice when we got here, which helped with setting up mid-afternoon. Sometimes it can be very hot! Scout’s new favorite spot to sleep is in the kitchen. I’m looking forward to lazy days spent reading on the beach, endless games of...

Taming the Thorsons: June 2015
http://tamingthethorsons.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2015. So in the kid's terms, our trip to Aspen was the "best vacation ever"! We have had pretty amazing vacation in the pasts, and I know that kids have a hard time comparing those kinds of things-but it still felt good that despite my racing addiction we managed to have a pretty nice family weekend. Finishing up Ragnar Trail Relay in Snowmass Village left me feeling pretty run down. I mean I was running on 1 hour of sleep by the time we reunited at the finish line. School is over and s...

Taming the Thorsons: August 2015
http://tamingthethorsons.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 14, 2015. This past year I have had the awesome opportunity of being an ambassador for Ragnar Road Relay Series for their race in Colorado. It is has been so fun meeting other people who love this series as much as me, and together sharing our Ragnar love! I made the decision to captain a team early this year, which comes with the pressure of finding 12 people. My Dad may never forgive but I found my 1st 3 members on instagram! They were from PA and within a few weeks of talking and planni...

Taming the Thorsons: September 2014
http://tamingthethorsons.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 22, 2014. I am have been dragging my feet when it came to updating the blog because I have been wanting to post pictures of our new house. Yes, we are officially homeowners now! We absolutely love our house and the neighborhood. We even had a neighbor bring us flowers to welcome us! Alas, the house is a disaster zone despite our daily trips to home depot so there are no pictures to prove its beauty. But doesn't the front look good? We are slowly settling into a routine. All the kids...
