a well worn path: doubt... a self portrait
http://mackensey.blogspot.com/2011/10/doubt-self-portrait.html
A well worn path. A Journal of My Life and My Thoughts. Monday, October 3, 2011. Doubt a self portrait. Everyday is a battle that I fight. That I can't even keep the end in sight. Fighting to stay above the water. To swim for my life when the world's weighing down. My God saves me from myself daily. Trying to figure my life out but failing. I want so many things but I'm waiting. Stuck in pause, just wanting this battle done. Everyday I choose to stay above it. Living a life that doesn't really fit. I hop...

a well worn path: March 2010
http://mackensey.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
A well worn path. A Journal of My Life and My Thoughts. Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Unfortunately, I was not able to pitch as much as I would have liked, because of the injury that I received last weekend. The swelling from my ankle actually moved down to the outside of my foot making it very painful to walk or run. So coach had me take it easy last weekend, but I am ready to go this weekend! Lent has been going well so far and I hope that continues! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

a well worn path: Maybe
http://mackensey.blogspot.com/2013/05/maybe.html
A well worn path. A Journal of My Life and My Thoughts. Thursday, May 9, 2013. Teach a man. he'll conquer the world. What if this man must conquer such world to be taught? One child in a classroom. One plus one does not equal two. As his stomach grumbles with only remnants. Of last night's frozen dinner. Something ain't' not 'something isn't' right. As his deep muddy eyes strain to see the scrawls etched. On the not too distant chalkboard. Lincoln was martin luther king jr on that morning in gettysburg.

a well worn path: Second City
http://mackensey.blogspot.com/2012/10/second-city.html
A well worn path. A Journal of My Life and My Thoughts. Tuesday, October 16, 2012. The following is some of my unpolished. A tale of two cities except there's just one. City streets tell a story but only to some. One child marvels at the lights around him. While others get chills as the nights surround them. People come and people go each day, each year. Unaware of the prison walls that lock some in fear. Freedom, not an unfamiliar sight or fable told. No visible chains, no locks keep these citizens bound.

A well worn path. A Journal of My Life and My Thoughts. Wednesday, October 17, 2012. The Second City: A Response. This is a guest post by my brilliant boyfriend, Antonio. After reading my poem he was inspired to write one in agreement but from his own perspective. I hope you enjoy! Maybe we will write a book together about these issues one day. More than a second city/ it's a second life. One the average American wouldn't imagine. Am I right? Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Citizens of the first city preach t...

a well worn path: Diversity of Strengths
http://mackensey.blogspot.com/2012/10/there-are-different-kinds-of-spiritual.html
A well worn path. A Journal of My Life and My Thoughts. Thursday, October 11, 2012. There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-6.
