Bot Ping TCL Script. This script adds a dcc command '.bping [bot]' which pings bots on the botnet via the botnet. This is an updated version of the TCL that has been passed around (I don't know who the original author is). It's been updated to remove a TCL security hole. There is currently no documentation with this script. It requires rbot.patch and mysql.mod. This script allows a bot with a long handle length link with a bot with a shorter length handle.

Eggdrop Patches

Various source code patches for Eggdrop. These require you to recompile the bot. No Host Who/Whom for 1.6.17. With this patch, eggdrop won't send hosts upon joining the botnet or on a remote who. This also works on 1.6.18. Raw Botnet Bind for 1.6.15. This patch adds the ability to bind to raw botnet traffic. Returning zero will cause the bot not to parse the botnet command. This also works on 1.6.18. Silent Away for 1.6.15.

This module is really a tool for script developers who want to access a MySQL database without an extra Tcl module. This module may be required by certain scripts. For an example script, see MySeen in the scripts section of this site. Place it in /eggdrop1.6.x/src/mod/. Decompress it: tar jxvf mysqlx.x.tar.bz2. Go back to your /eggdrop1.6.x directory. Edit you bot's *.conf file and add the line: loadmodule mysql. Mysql connect database hostname [user] [password] [socket port]. Mysql escape [bytes] string.

Eggdrop Tcl Binds

Disclaimer: This method of binding is officially unsupported by the Eggheads community. The reason for this is because it may not work in future versions of Eggdrop. However, I still find it useful. In some cases, you may want to bind multiple types of binds to a single proc. However, few bind types have compatible parameter lists.
