Palpable in subareolar location. Diameter rarely 3 cm. Arise in smaller ducts. Usually no nipple discharge. Arises in large or small ducts. Suggests existence of common cell precursor that can differentiate into:. May be areas of hemorrhage. Duct that contains papilloma may be dilated. Nearly always no necrosis.
