Tuesday, March 14, 2006. So today is International Pi Day, because its 3.14 - (get it? I heard on the radio that people are celebrating by singing songs (which consist of the first 50 digits or so in the number), eating pie, and generally just making semi-witty comments about all things pi-related. If you printed a billion decimals of pi in normal type, it would stretch from New York city to the middle of Kansas. March 14 is also Albert Einstein's birthday - coincidence, or mathematical probability?
