There is a little farm there where you can feed the animals, but the main reason we went is for the steam train. But I'll get to that in a sec. Wednesday, June 12, 2013. We were not ok with that, so we put up some blackout curtains and shades. This is the upstairs playroom. Right now it is just a huge open space with toys shoved all along the walls, but I have big plans for this room. I will post pics when I get done with it:). Hudson's room. Friday, April 12, 2013. Moving again and the latest happenings. All aboard the potty train! Jacob was very reluctant to start potty training. I tried several times but it never worked out, because he would not wear the underwear. After his 3rd birthday, I had had enough of diapers with him! Sunday, February 10, 2013. Yesterday we had a birthday party for Jacob, and then I realized I hadn't posted Hudson's b-day party yet. So here it is. Grandma and Grandpa Hirst, along with Aunt Tara came over for a special birthday dinner- Lasagna, Hudson's favorite! This kid really loves lasagna, and can eat a ton of it. First we opened presents. This part was kind of hard for Jacob. He thought everything should be for him. Then we had dinner. Just look at that excited face! I told you he loves lasagna:).

Sunday, October 28, 2012. We moved again. This was our 8th move together, and it never gets any easier. But now we are in a 3 bedroom, so we are actually getting some sleep! Now you know why I haven't posted in a while). The boys used to wake each other up during the night, but now they are in their own bedrooms and it is bliss for us. Wednesday, August 15, 2012. We've really enjoyed watching the Olympics this year, so we hosted our own "Hirst Olympics" With Jacob. it was pretty low key, and he and I (and I guess duck and bear) were the only competitors, but it was a lot of fun. We did our own versions of trampoline, shot put, 100 m sprint, long jump, and 100 m freestyle. Jacob received the gold in all events! Trampoline"- most bounces in a min. Hudson didn't know what to think of the performance. Sprint (with the shot put ball in hand).

Wednesday, May 16, 2012. I cannot figure out how to get my pictures posted in the right order. I am so not good at this blogging. Does anyone else have that problem, or am I just not computer savvy? Monday, December 17, 2012. I was so bummed because I knew Jacob would have loved it. I got my name on a waiting list, but I didn't think anyone would cancel. But then last Friday, there were two tickets available for the 3:30 train! Kevin was working so I took the boys myself up to the train museum in Sacramento. It was a ton of work by myself, but Jacob absolutely LOVED it! Checking out the caboose. I hear a train! We made it to the north pole! Christmas in San Francisco. In October, my sis-in-law.
