Aims to facilitate and harmonise the collection of patient data across work packages and consortium members. WPs 2 to 6 address the different risk factors identified in the project and WP7. Specific objectives are to:. Identify the influence of demographic factors, environmental/societal and clinical factors on the risk of developing and maintenance of neuropathic pain;. Apply modern genomics to validate (using a targeted approach) and find novel (using genome wide association) genetic risk factors for neuropathic pain;. Use tissue samples and patient derived cells from Biobanks to validate of molecular pathways contributing to chronic pain in patients;. 44 (0) 1865 223 374.

Development of a Risk Model for (severe) Neuropathic Pain. 1) To receive and store data from WPs 1-6, providing access to members of the consortium. 2) To identify the prognosis (incidence and progression) of neuropathic pain, in the general population and in those with specific risk factors. 3) To build a multi-dimensional model of risk factors associated with neuropathic pain and severe neuropathic pain, based on genetic and environmental factors.
