http://travel.domnik.net/img-en/09am-armenia/14
Sevanavank, or the Monastery of Sevan, is located at a beautiful place on the shore of Lake Sevan. The monastery was founded in 874 on a rocky island. Due to artificial draining of the lake in the Soviet times it is now a peninsula. On the same peninsula, there are several other buildings too. Those include the summer residence of the president of Armenia, a guesthouse of the Armenian Writers' Union and the Vaskenian Theological Academy. Next page: Sevan ». Armenia 2009 ».

Tatev - Armenia - Travelogue with pictures
http://travel.domnik.net/img-en/09am-armenia/24
Tatev Monastery and village are located on a cliff over Vorotan River canyon in the southern Armenian province of Syunik. The monastery is one of the main sights in Armenia. It is believed to be named after Eustateus, a discipline of Apostle Taddeus. We visited Tatev by a taxi from Goris. There has since been constructed a cableway called 'Wings of Tatev'. Its other end is at Halidzor village on the other side of the canyon. At the time of our visit, however, the cableway didn't yet exist.
