Surviving Triplets: How to Handle Homework?
http://survivingtriplets.blogspot.com/2013/09/how-to-handle-homework.html
Thursday, September 12, 2013. How to Handle Homework? I think this is what I was most worried about with the kids going to school. No, not the amount, just how to handle it.ya know, the logistics of having 3 doing homework, that is obviously parent guided. And I know there are people out there that 3 kids but they are different ages. Let's face it, you can't compare apples and oranges. Here is a perfect example of what I mean. We have to read with the kids for 10 minutes a day. And yes, it took about 45 ...

Surviving Triplets: October 2011
http://survivingtriplets.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 14, 2011. Time just goes by. This age is so busy. I find myself wondering where the time goes. I've talked about it in the past few posts. 3 is a whole different ballgame. These kids are growing up so fast. For example, Gabi can spell her name and tell anyone. Our home address.yes, the whole thing. And Sofi is just amazingly tall and bright surprising me by writing. Many different letters yesterday. Then there is our sweet boy, Ian. We have enrolled him in private speech therapy. Affordab...

Surviving Triplets: August 2012
http://survivingtriplets.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 19, 2012. Ever since I can remember, we have gone to Colorado for summer fun. When I was about 11 or 12, the first cabin started going up. The logs came from the mountain. Put together by all of us. One log at a time. And the "Aloha Cabin" was born. But that became too small for everyone. And it is really was my sister-in-law's father's cabin. He has a new cabin. Of course my daddy had to get in on the action. We all pitched in. As a matter of fact, I am a master chinker. Way, way up.

Surviving Triplets: Car Seat Confessions
http://survivingtriplets.blogspot.com/2013/09/car-seat-confessions.html
Tuesday, September 10, 2013. I am somewhat of a planner. Ok, not always but there are some things I really sit and think my way through. One of them has been car seats. Yeah, the oh-so-controversial topic. Which, for the record, I do not understand WHY. Why would you NOT keep your kids as safe as possible for as long as possible? Pretty easy for me to get. And yeah, I understand 5-point harnesses are a pain in the ass with triplets. But, I don't really care. Which brings me to the topic of the day. Think...

Surviving Triplets: July 2012
http://survivingtriplets.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 8, 2012. Fridge Magnet Cups.LIFESAVER. If you have kids, you know they are always asking for something. Mine ask for something to drink. And they know how to dispense the water from the fridge. But the incessant asking for a cup was driving me batty. Actually, driving us both batty. God must have been listening. Because not 2 days later, a tutorial on MADE. We promptly went to Hobby Lobby the next day for magnets. Then to Target for cups. I even let the kids pick their own cups. Christmas Pa...

Surviving Triplets: March 2012
http://survivingtriplets.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 14, 2012. February at a glance. Time really does fly. Don't let anyone tell you differently. Is it really already half way through March? I will turn 37 tomorrow. My babies will be FOUR on the 31st. And the last year is GONE. Don't know exactly where it went. I can't say I will miss the 3's that much. They were pretty terrible, haha! Bring on the fours. Bring on 4 year old preschool. Bring on self sufficiency. My babies are no longer babies. And they surely aren't toddlers. Lessons learn...

Surviving Triplets: Extra-curricular Activites
http://survivingtriplets.blogspot.com/2013/09/extra-curricular-activites.html
Saturday, September 7, 2013. As a child, I absolutely LOVED to participate in sports. Soccer (2 seasons per year). Speed skating (don't laugh.yes, on good ol' roller skates). And I loved every minute. Except when I tried to do gymnastics at Bela Karolyi's gym, along side Mary Lou Retton. That, I quit after 3 months. Dude, that guy was TOUGH. So, this begs the discussion on activities with triplets. I am a firm believer that this is an important part of development. Yes, this meant the boy was in dance/tap.
