Last update: April 6, 2015. Just east of the Town of Fort Macleod, is the location of a potential 1/4 mile dragstrip. 80 acres and rough base grading for the strip is in place. The Southern Alberta Drag Racing Association (SADRA) obtained title to the land in 2010. Funding for the paving and other necessary infrastructure to make the facility operational remains to be secured. For further information contact Wayne or Fran Joss at Joss Technical in Lethbridge.

Air strips were often used to host drag races years ago. The Vulcan strip was popular with many racers. Wayne Joss in the "Mellow Yellow" stock class wagon racing Mike Byrne in the 1969 orange hemi road runner at Vulcan. Wayne campaigned the wagon and tracks in Edmonton and BC.
