That's right, John put down his 5 wt. picked up a 12wt. and slung 9 inch flies for 3 days straight. He's a humble guy and he can cast. Moose on a rock. Big Hole River, Montana. My heart is in the mountains and rivers of Montana. This isn't a big fish, but everything comes together in this photograph. Jim and a Lake Trout. My friend Jim Linehan and I back packed into Isle Royal on Lake Superior a few years ago. Jim caught this fine Lake Trout casting from shore. It was a great trip with a great friend. High in the Pioneer Mountains, a Montana lake filled with eager Grayling. The trick is getting them to sit still for a photo. Fly Rod Made by Dave Norling.
