Live Epic: Leadville 100 - 2011

http://dylanjbowman.blogspot.com/2011/08/leadville-100-2011.html

Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Leadville 100 - 2011. The race started at a casual and conversational pace with a large group of us chatting and catching up in the pre-dawn darkness. We had an awesome group and it was fun conversing with so many guys whom I look up to in the sport. As expected, Mike Arnstein. Caught up to me here and we soon caught Mike on the steeper sections of trail just before the road. Mike's strength is obviously road running which he exhibited as soon as we hit Hagerman, beginning...

Live Epic: May 2011

http://dylanjbowman.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 9, 2011. The race started comfortable and conversational as Ryan. I wore my trusty La Sportiva Fireblades. Again and crushed about 18 ounces of EFS. During the race. I can't overstate how much I love these performance products. I'm truly fortunate to have the support of such quality companies. Next up is the San Diego 100 on June 11th! Hugely stoked about this race. Fire it up. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Thoughts for and about the Colorado Mountain Athlete. View my complete profile.

Live Epic: October 2010

Wednesday, October 6, 2010. With the return of the mellow energy that is a staple of the Aspen off seasons, chilling seems only that much more appropriate. It will be good to start setting racing goals again but until then I won't be living quite as Epic and will enjoy every second of it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Live Epic: September 2010

http://dylanjbowman.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Sunday, September 26, 2010. Run Rabbit Run 50. Last week in Steamboat I endured what I am calling a good learning experience at the 4th annual Run Rabbit Run 50 miler. I won't go into nearly as much detail as I did with Leadville just because the race and the result weren't nearly as inspiring to me. Still, RRR50 is a classic race that I would highly recommend to any interested runner. I wasn't too happy with the result but under the circumstances of that particular day, I'll take it. I was still abl...

Live Epic: March 2011

http://dylanjbowman.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 28, 2011. Antelope Island 50 Mile. Courtnee and I hit the road early Friday morning and managed to make it to SLC in one piece after 7 hours and some pretty sketchy driving conditions. After checking into the luxurious La Quinta Inn, Courtnee and I headed out to Antelope Island to check out the course a little bit. After a 20 minute jog we headed home, ordered pizza, and retired early. The 4am wake up came quickly, and before I knew it, I was chatting with Duncan Callahan. Who had a very st...

things

I'm hoping it's a comedy. Friday, October 23, 2009. Those aren't skanks, those are my friends! 1 It takes a pretty drunken soul to yell at a 7 foot tall douche of a man who called your friends a skank. Mad props to Daniel Le, my very good friend. 2 Who the fuck goes to a concert when they're 7 feet tall and stands in the very front and then complains when people push him out of the way? A fuckin asshole, that's who. 5 Being a silly fan is fun. 7 Go on an adventure. Steal some copper. 9 Sleep on the floor.
