The View From Here: September 2007
http://gunfightersview.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
The View From Here. Things I see, and what I think about them. Warning: Some of my opinions may hurt your feelings. It's nothing personal, I assure you. Friday, September 28, 2007. The Family Vacation. What memories! Even now, I can see your eyes going out of focus as you look into the mists of your own memories. Memories of vacations past, where you were tortured beyond belief by long boring rides in your parent's car, or by your own children's predilection for projectile vomiting. Home away from home".

A Capital Injection: Starting Out
http://brianspring09.blogspot.com/2009/02/starting-out.html
Monday, February 2, 2009. To try a cupcake from Georgetown Cupcake. 8220;DC’s destination for designer cupcakes). I saw the line and figured, if everyone else likes these cupcakes so much, I’d better try them. And mine was good, but I’ll probably stick to homemade from here on out. (Too many other places to try, and too little time here to wait that long for any baked good). Which was almost closed by the time we arrived, and tasted samples of organic salsa and fine cheeses. A Capital Injection: March 2009
http://brianspring09.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 30, 2009. We started at Ben’s Chili Bowl. Then drove south to Eastern Market. Definitely my favorite “discovery” in the city so far. We looked at the art and antiques, tried some delicious sweet potato pie, and talked to a lady I had met when Emily was in town, who had just gotten back from a trip to Kerula, a town in India I traveled to on my study abroad. We walked down to the Library of Congress. Where we saw really interesting exhibits on the Jefferson library and the life of Lincoln.

The Rhode Less Traveled: January 2010
http://sarahinrhodeisland.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
The Rhode Less Traveled. Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Going Green in the Nation's Capital. Last weekend I drove down to Washington D.C. to visit my longtime friend, Jacob. While D.C. might not seem that far (I didn't think it was either), it is actually 6.5 hours away from Providence! I did have several people who doubted my ability to drive that long without harming myself or someone else (I am thankful- I know you are just looking out for me! But my parents, Nick, and my boss? USGBC). If you are at...

hay una luz que nunca se apaga: January 2009
http://shanapaulina.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Hay una luz que nunca se apaga. Saturday, January 31, 2009. Calvin johnson's dancing is priceless. Max and I watched the K Records. Documentary, The Shield Around the K, while I was visiting. (Okay, it would be much more accurate to say that I fell asleep while Max watched it. But I instant-queued it on Netflix while I was working on some stuff at home this week and now I've seen it.) What struck me most about it was how Calvin Johnson dances like he's autistic. Observe and enjoy. Posted by shana paulina.

Girl meats Paleo: April 2011

Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Use What Your Grocer Gave Ya. Turns out I don't read directions very well as the. Quick Quick Carrots and Fennel. 3 lbs organic carrots, peeled and chopped. 15 fennel bulbs, diced. 1/3 cup organic heavy cream. Sea salt and fresh ground pepper. No need to stick to my measurements, not every day calls for 3lbs. of carrots. Another great option would be to use a bag of baby carrots which would save even more time as they require no peeling or chopping. Links to this post. While mu...
