Petanque, les Cendres. Les Cendres ont été disputées ardemment depuis la première victoire d’Eastry lorsque le cochonnet en bois a été incinéré et les cendres placées dans une petite urne. D'abord gagné en 1989. Ce week-end, après 10 ans de compétition, le club de pétanque d’Eastry a finalement regagné le trophée des Cendres. Capitaine Trevor Foster avec les Cendres.

Friends from Longpré visit Eastry 5-7 May 2006. 16 people travelled from Longpré in two minibuses on Friday 5th May, arriving at the village hall at about 21:00 hrs, before the Eastry committee had had time to decorate the hall as intended. Due to an earlier event, we were unable to gain access until 20:45, so we were part way through the preparations when our guests arrived. Graham, Teresa and Laurence. Jean Marc, Iris and Terry. Visit to Longpré June 2005. E set out from Eastry at 18:00 on Friday 24. June for our trip through the tunnel to Longpré. Although the weather had been very hot in England we passed through some spectacular storms on our way in France but arrived in a dry and warm Longpré at about 22:00 to be met by our hosts outside the town hall.
