Eat Life: April 2010
http://eatlifefci.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 30, 2010. Maialino: Danny Meyer Made Ravioli For Me. Written by Jason Greenberg. How do we define a good restaurant? Is it simply about the food or is it something else entirely? Is a great restaurant one that you can’t wait to come back to? Or one where you want to try everything on the menu? Or is about the overall experience? The bar area offers the same menu, service and experience without the wait. Several tables line the perimeter of the bar room, seated on a first come, first ser...

Sunday, February 14, 2010. Le Creuset Sex Pot: Brewed Ribs, Cod Stew, Wine and Tomato Stewed Chicken. Written by Tracey Ceurvels. There is a pot that will change the way you cook and eat: the Le Creuset French Oven. And it’s perfect for hearty, cold-weather dishes. Then finally I found the perfect price! The Broadway Panhandler, one of my favorite kitchen stores, was having a sale: 50% off most of their Le Creuset cookware. The flame (“orange”) pot I’d been coveting was now mine for...Eat Life FCI Team: :.

Eat Life: How to Roast a Lamb
http://eatlifefci.blogspot.com/2010/01/how-to-roast-lamb.html
Sunday, January 3, 2010. How to Roast a Lamb. Written by Jason Greenber. It was a tough few weeks there for celebrated New York chef Michael Psilakis. First his partnership with restaurateur Donatella Arpaia took a hit when they decided to dissolve their deal. On my way out, I happened to share the elevator with Psilakis’ mother-in-law. She reached into the gift bag anxious to see if her copy of the book was signed. It was, as was every copy, with the transcription, “To a lifetime of ...The Eat Life Team.
Eat Life: November 2009
http://eatlifefci.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 8, 2009. Written by Anthony Ramos. As much as I love to cook at home I find dining out equally as enjoyable. Sharing food with friends and family at the communal table is comforting and rewarding. Our hip Park Slope friends invited us to meet them at Franny’s on Flatbush Ave for dinner. The restaurant was unfamiliar to me – and being somewhat all things food snobbish – my initial reaction to the restaurant’s name conjured up unflattering images. Photo credit: Vanessa Vichit-Vadakan.

Dine Out Everywhere But Manhattan. Friday, February 27, 2009. This gem in the neighborhood of Greenpoint, Brooklyn captured my heart recently. I was here with my friend Al on a Tuesday night, who lives in the 'hood but never went. What a nice surprise! Steak Tartar($6.50). Salmonella? Or both served raw? Nah, just good old ground beef(appears to be house ground) dressed with capers, onions, cornichons, mushrooms soy sauce, olive oil, salt and pepper! Go for cheap beer (Laffe! Kept sane by cooking. Monday, August 10, 2009. I don't want to be a chef! 160;I love cooking and eating of course, but what I like the most is watching people interact during the course of a meal. How the body language changes and the looks that people make when they are eating or just comfortable with the people they are with while eating or drinking for that matter. Monday, August 10, 2009. http://keptsanebycooking.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Kept sane by cooking. Monday, May 30, 2011. So today is the first day that I felt like cooking in ages. I have gone through a terrible loss- my dad. It has thrown me for a loup and back again. I love cooking, photography, socializing and reading. all of which I have lost the urge to do. My original idea was to try some rice noodles with a stir fry concoction- not quite. I ended up with a spaghetti squash, 1 jalapeno pepper, 3 bulbs of garlic, some cherry tomatos, a bag of cherries- so good! My tree- she ...

Kept sane by cooking: October 2009
http://keptsanebycooking.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Kept sane by cooking. Monday, October 12, 2009. I made apple pie for the 1st time today. It turned out great. A bit to sweet for my taste- next time I will put less sugar and it will be fantastic. maybe a bit more cinnamon. I made the dough and filling from scratch. The recipes I got from a couple of sites which I will link:. Turned out nicely. The crust was a bit tricky since it was the first time I did it. I have a good idea about it now. eat my LIFE | adventures of a hungry "chef"
Adventures of a hungry chef. Paris, France: Chamarré Montmartre. Posted by Aman Adatia. My parents were recently in Paris to see the sights, eat a baguette, and well – do “parenty” things – for Steph and I. You know? 2005 Domaine Jean-Claude Bessin) and snacked on house-made rolls slathered with sweet churned butter while we waited. Amuse: chilled parsnip soup with extra virgin olive oil (this showed a lot of finesse; well balanced, seasoned perfectly - cold soups can be tricky; I wanted an entire bowl).
