Tuesday, November 14, 2006. Creative Computing Major Project Semester 2, 2006. The presence of the conventional drum kit was an experiment that became too important not to be included. Even if I am writing abstract music, I still crave a definable rhythm section of some description. In this case, the drum kit is an inbuilt programmable feature of the application ‘Ableton Live’, and a fine sounding one at that. Delayed Extraction (14.4 Mb Mp3). Performance Live Patch(0.097 Mb Ableton Live File). Driving t...

Friday, October 24, 2008. Audio Arts - Week 11 - Semester 2, 2008, "Student Presentations". This succeeded in holding my interest without a single change in instrumentation or a hint of Foley work. My only criticism would be that it did little to evoke genuine fear. However, it did convey the excitement of the chase scene well. This suitably left of centre approach seems to be coming along nicely. I felt the initial buildup was probably drawn out too long, but this was only a rough edit. Adelaide, South ...

Favourite this week was Mr Ben Proberts. Max patch Fantastical Metal. I enjoyed it immensely for it's potential! The only bad thing, is the patch doesn't work on my computer :(. I think in particular i liked the arpeggiator. Function which gave slightly jerky but consistent rhythym. I just don't know what else to say it - was just nice! Mtf - week...
