The Thought Pad: September 2012
http://deathknightwrites.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Life has moved on like it has been doing since eons, and I find myself trudging through it ever so slowly, clutching a handful grains of hope, losing them at every step that I take without a reward. I am now a hobbit on way to Mt. Doom, serving my own self to a greater purpose, with hardly any hope. Sooner or later; it's just a matter of time. Current Book: "Silas Marner" by George Eliot (another great text). Current Music: "Nothing out there" by Hans Zimmer in Dark Knight Rises OST. Subscribe in a reader.

So I'm in the middle of a dream.something about being held captive by a rather handsome bad-boy from whom an old high school guy friend is trying to free us. Then that escapade is suddenly over and I'm reading a report of prescriptions I've used. (Sidenote: WTF? Suddenly the doorbell rings. The dream, I think. Meanwhile, I wonder if...

Evocative Characters. Intriguing Crime. Compelling Stories. From Peg Brantley. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Wednesday Wisdom for Writer and Those Who Love Them. I recently finished reading KINDRED. By Octavia E. Butler. Although my list of her quotes doesn't tie this one to KINDRED, I have to think it was. I wasn't trying to work out my own ancestry. I was trying to get people to feel slavery.
