These are my little spinach plants. I'm excited to see how well they all do. There were 9 plants in the package. I'm excited to see if this kind of gardening will work for us (me) as I'm not the best gardener. We love navel oranges, so I bought two of them. Labels: back to eden gardening. Words to live by.

Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Hope you like this. I did. Friday, November 9, 2012. I have been wanting to put some kind of seasonal wreath on the front door. I found this lovely one at a new store in our area called Garden Ridge. It's the only one in our state. But, I have seen some in other states. The halloween and fall things were on sale for 50% off so I was very pleased. I found these beautiful bunches. And I was more than happy to pick them up! Then glued them to the wreath. jo.my.mother : altered t-shirt tutorial
http://www.jomymother.com/2014/01/altered-t-shirt-tutorial.html
Monday, January 27, 2014. I know there are a lot of altered t-shirts out there. So I thought I would add to the party. You will need a t-shirt, two different wide ribbons, a button (I used a glass bead) and some round elastic or two strong hair rubberbands. Be sure to wash and dry the t-shirt before you start. I always try to wash the item before I sew it. Fold the front in half and pin it so you can be sure that the cut is centered. I pinned the side seams. Now cut it right down the center front. For th...

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. 8 peaches pitted and sliced into thin wedges ( Here's where I used my frozen and bottled peaches). In mixing bowl mix these next dry ingredients together. 1/4 cup white sugar. And thi...

Saturday, December 8, 2012. I had not ever really planned to do a pincushion tutorial, but I had someone ask for it, so here it is. Small scraps of fabric. Crushed walnut shells or whatever you plan to use to fill it. Inch ribbon, or crochet thread. Darning needle or another long needle. Funnel (if you want). These are the scrap pieces of fabric I decided to use. I actually made two at the same time because I couldn't decide which to use. 4 Notch seam all the way around. 5 Turn right side out. jo.my.mother : a stained glass bird for my granddaughter #2
http://www.jomymother.com/2014/01/a-stained-glass-bird-for-my.html
Friday, January 10, 2014. A stained glass bird for my granddaughter #2. My daughter using the glass grinder to smooth out the sharp edges. This step is kind of fun, if you ask me. In this picture, my granddaughter is foiling. wrapping the edges with copper foil. More of the foiling. Smoothing the foil down really well. My daughter's bird is ready for the flux. The project them goes onto a jig to be soldered. The nails are tacked into the jig to hold the bird in place and the flux is being applied. The de...
