February 9, 2014. Each week I learn a new tool to use and add to my web page. Thank you Todd for the mid-week videos! They are very helpful and I feel more connected to the class. Flickr is pretty easy to use and is a great way to organize and share photos. What I really liked was being able to put all of my pictures from my phone into the Flickr account. March 2, 2014. When a colleague told me she was taking a Technology in Education course I was interested. I was also concerned that I would be lost and it would be too hard to figure out. I told her that was great and maybe I would take it. I waited until the week before the course started to register. Honestly, I needed the credits! February 17, 2014. The audio option was easy to figure out how to use. My concern for this week is whether I will be able to remember how to use all of these tools in the future. I have a feeling my two boys will be able to help me if I get lost. I am not sure when or how I will use the audio tool. I may give students the option of using audio to post instead of writing. While visiting Flagstaff I had the opportunity to interview for a teaching position on the Navajo Reservation. I got the job and moved! I taught 1st, 2. Grade students. It was a great experience! I spent three years on the REZ. I also taught in Colorado and New Mexico. I moved to Prescott 10 years ago and have been working at Prescott College for 5 years. February 21, 2014. Before this class I had not really thought about Personal Learning Networks. When I watched the videos on communication they referred to the old professional development. We all met in a room, shared ideas and then went home. If we had questions or successes we didn’t share until we met again.
