For 25 years Dr. Miller worked as a primary care physician and hospital administrator in Bellefontaine, Ohio. With his wife, Marilyn, he lived overseas in Haiti and Egypt, where he worked as a doctor and medical teacher. Later they lived and worked in India for seven years, in Cambodia as interim directors of a development program and for nine months in London as hosts at a peace center.
