Egads what a way to start 2007! I rank this experience right up there with dental surgery and running into my ex-husband when I have not showered in weeks. With all this horrid choice, every one and awhile you find marvelous exposes on topics such as the environment, the food industry, animal welfare, supermarket secrets and diet overhauls that keep me turning on the TV in hopes that it all turns around one day. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Well one of the last ways I would describe myself is religious yet here I find myself taking a challenge to give up something for Lent which begins tomorrow. What have I choosen? In the grand scheme of things people give up things more dear to them than bread and people all around the world suffer with worse than this so I keep things in perspective and hope that dreams of pizza, croissants and ploughman sandwiches don't keep me awake at night. Tuesday, May 31, 2005. My favourite time of the month is here, the new Oprah magazine is on the stand. I love the feeling of sliding a fresh untouch volume off the shelf. This month is dedicated to my favourite subject, men. I keep my copy tucked in my purse all month long and re-read it every chance I get. Monday, December 19, 2005. How Could I Have Been Missing Out on This? This past Friday I discovered something that I had heard much about but never experienced. the Pat Val croissant! Holy moly, talk about food porn. It was crusty, sweet, buttery and soft all rolled up into one delectable breakfast treat. I could be convinced that they are the answer to world peace.
