Life As A McFadden. Saturday, February 25, 2012. One Year In New Life, ME. Yesterday marked one year since Cary and I drove our cars from our final hotel stay in New York to Maine. One year ago today, my parents made the plane trip with our little one to this new and slightly foreign world. Brylee 1 year ago). I have also learned that even though I was close to my parents, I have learned what it means to truly miss them and make the m...

Life As A McFadden: Geeking Out
http://lifeasamcfadden.blogspot.com/2014/10/geeking-out.html
Life As A McFadden. Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Or should I call it, 'The Day I Tricked Dad Into Going To ComicCon With Me'? Originally, Adam West and Burt Ward of the original Batman series was supposed to make an appearance at the Dallas FanDays ComicCon, and I knew that dad would love to go and 'meet' these two actors since he's a huge fan. But as I looked through the list of guest celebrities, my mouth dropped. Ke Huy Quan (I know and loved him as Data in The Goonies). Karen Allen (Indiana Jones).

Life As A McFadden. Friday, March 30, 2012. A Difference Of Two Years. Thursday, March 29, 2012. Not Your Normal Weekend. Well, normal weekends don't exist this time of year for us right now, as they consist of Cary and Brenda working every day until tax season is over (come on April something! This weekend, however, was pretty fun and different, starting with celebrating Brenda's birthday with lunch, presents and turtle cheesecake! Cary, did you get any? If so, send them this way! And then it was on to ...

Life As A McFadden. Thursday, August 28, 2014. 1 1/3 years later. So much has changed since the last time I have written, including our setting. In May, after a visit to Dallas, Cary sat down with me and we made the (hard) decision to move back home. I had just started getting to that comfortable place, but for the benefit of our family, we packed back up and came home on August 12, 2013. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Life As A McFadden: Big Night 2013
http://lifeasamcfadden.blogspot.com/2013/04/big-night-2013.html
Life As A McFadden. Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Last night was our 3rd year to go on Big Night in Small Town, ME. The weather conditions apparently fit: in the 40's and enough rain to make the streets wet. The email was sent out at 12:40, but I didn't see it until after 5. That's when I scrambled around to contact our friends (one family that I met at my first Big Night went to our church, and she invited me.needless to say, she is one of my favorite people! And plenty time to wait. I helped cross 3 peepe...

Life As A McFadden: December 2011
http://lifeasamcfadden.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Life As A McFadden. Saturday, December 31, 2011. Please Excuse The Delay. I miss my blogging, but lately I have found something that occupies my free time more: writing stories. I am very thankful for the fact that my writer's block of 5 years has gone away, and trying to take the opportunity to keep the writing flow going, in hopes to finish a story before it becomes another forgotten incomplete. Thank you 2011 for being so full of adventure, love, and fun for the Jarvis/McFaddens! Taken with my NEW TOY!

Life As A McFadden: November 2011
http://lifeasamcfadden.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Life As A McFadden. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. On Saturday, November 12, Cary and I experienced our first AHL game in Maine- the Portland Pirates versus the Providence Bruins. Before the game, Cary and I took the opportunity to go birthday shopping for Brylee, and then went to dinner at IHOP, where I attempted some exquisite pancakes: white chocolate chip peppermint. Oh my! So delicious, but I know that this is a try-once-per-holiday thing. Cary had pecan praline pancakes, which he also raved about.
