Bronte Surf Club was one of the model lighthouse surf clubs who are embarking on sustainability and clean energy initiatives used in a sample survey by the SLSA of the 305 clubs around the country. We are in the process of coordinating a calendar of events with the aim of raising awareness, informing and engaging the community and raising funds:. 2008 Bondi to Bronte Ocean Swim. Will raise donations through the Everyday Hero program. Encouraging the community to start their own fundraising activities to support the Envirosurf program. We currently have 2kwatts of solar and aim to increase this to a 12kw system. We are interested and are reviewing any applicable generation or storage technology that our site can utilise.
