Sunday, May 18, 2014. Mick immediately ran to Kaden, leaving Atticus alone on the curb. Other adults there took care of my now-hysterical boy and started leading him to the office when a friend of ours from our last ward found him. She called me and stayed with him until I arrived. Whenever we talked to Mick, his first concern was for Atticus. He felt horrible that he'd had to leave him like that, but what choice did he have? So that was our week. How was yours? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I love this kid.

Tuesday, May 28, 2013. My Faves for Today. Dinner I could make/eat every week: Sauteed boneless chicken thighs in mustard cream sauce (click on photo for recipe). I actually leave out the cream, though last time I added a tablespoon or so whole milk. I have tried this with grainy Dijon and smooth; I think my favorite is a combination of the two. Most delicious leftovers EVER. My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark". I have his album in pretty heavy rotation in my work playlist. Haunting and beautiful...

Sunday, September 15, 2013. They accepted our offer! Ours was actually the second offer they received, the first being from an investor with a low bid. I'm glad we moved as quickly as we did, and I wonder whether meeting the owner tipped the scales in our favor. But first we have to inspect the house and actually get a loan. One step at a time, Heidi. :). Saturday, September 14, 2013. We made an offer on a house. It feels a little sudden, but we and our realtor (Tim) feel good about it. Tim was a little ...

Random Musings: Update
http://heidipbandj.blogspot.com/2015/04/update.html
Tuesday, April 7, 2015. I weighed myself again this morning, and I'm down two pounds from yesterday, so my total loss so far is three pounds. And, small miracle, I could walk without pain this morning. My ankle is getting more sore as the day goes on, but I'm walking without a brace or a cane, so hallelujah! I'll wear a brace to the gym tonight. So glad your ankle is better and that you are seeing and feeling some success. It helps stick with it for the long haul if only we can see some progress.

Random Musings: Week 4
http://heidipbandj.blogspot.com/2015/04/week-4.html
Monday, April 6, 2015. And I overworked my ankle Saturday, so I've been hobbling in pain for two days. I had expected to feel better today, but no luck. Which means I'm not going to the gym today. Hopefully tomorrow. This last week we were allowed to have one dessert if we wanted, so with it being Easter and conference I indulged a little. But really only a little. I had one hollow chocolate egg, some Doritos, and three medium-size meringues with lemon curd and strawberries for dessert (yum! Is it growin...

Monday, March 30, 2015. These little birds hang out by our side door all day. There's a third one (maybe more) sitting inside the tray at the inside top of the eave. They chirp all day, talking to these birds next door:. Again there are three or four of them at this house. They chirp back and forth, fluttering from roof to railing to bricks. They never fly from one house to the other. This morning as I watched and listened to them, I could almost hear them trash-talking each other. "Yeah? 42 Days: Week 3.

Thursday, August 29, 2013. First Days of School. Atticus and I couldn't decide which picture was our favorite, so I used both. Atticus's first day of kindergarten was cowboy day. I think he looked mighty spiffy, and so did he. He was a little nervous on the way over, asking, "Is anyone else going to be in a cowboy costume? In our morning prayers we pray for Atticus to have a good day at school. The other day he told me I didn't need to pray for him anymore- he always has a great time at school. Life is g...

Wednesday, August 20, 2014. What else we've been doing: August update. James spent his summer as a stay-at-home dad. Atticus loved having him all to himself,. Especially when James agreed to built him a fort downstairs. Taking deep breaths after the tour. We then went to the exhibit tent to check out the historical exhibit I helped put together in three days. Talk about last-minute projects, but everyone seems to remember that the marble used inside was quarried in Egypt and shaped in China. Project #2 f...

Monday, June 16, 2014. We just got back from our first family vacation to the Redwoods and Cape Blanco. I was going to dump a lot of photos, but then I figured I'd just hit the highlights and focus on my favorite memories. I was a little concerned about it being just the three of us. Would we get tired of each other? Would Atticus get too stir crazy in the car? Would we get tired of nature and regret staying out of the city? Here was our route:. Day 1: Salt Lake to Reno. Day 5: Cape Blanco. Not surprisin...

Monday, July 29, 2013. Family Reunion part 1 and 2. My niece Mary convinced me to go on the big coasters with her, earning me the title "Best Aunt Ever." I screamed the entire time and got a headache, but she didn't make me go the second (or third) time. Her brother, Sam, spent most of the day on the big rides with other cousins, so I don't have any pictures of him. Sorry, Sam! Poulsons at Bear Lake. Atticus was really excited about the bunk beds. My cute parents and brother Mike. View my complete profile.
