Event and behind the scenes coverage by freelance photographer Erich Schlegel. Monday, February 3, 2014. Trip to Sochi has begun. DFW-Frankfurt-Kiev-Sochi arrive Feb 5 Wed 3am. Here are some of the portraits I shot of U.S. Olympic Athletes for ZUMA Press back in October. I will be based in the Mountain Cluster. Shooting Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Biathlon, Nordic Combined, Luge, Bobsled, Ski Jumping, and Snowboarding. This is my 12th Olympic Games to cover! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Event and behind the scenes coverage by freelance photographer Erich Schlegel. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas. Flew from Austin to Houston to Mexico City to Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas then shuttled to San Cristobal de las Casas, a quaint colonial town in the highlands of Chiapas. Checked into Posada Real de Chiapas, not far from the town zocalo. Light was nice so strolled around shooting into the night. Our group's first meeting/dinner will be late tonight.

Checked out the downhill course and felt like shooting higher on the course nearer to the start. The morning light hit the "Love Shack" jump just as the hot skiers took off. Meine Zeit als Trekker driver in Neuseeland. Besuch bei den Schweizern am Ende der Welt. Seit Freitag den 10.03 bin ich in West Australien unterwegs. Ziel der Reise war es, einen schweizer Kollegen zu besuchen der auf einer Farm arbeitet. Aus Neuseeland bin ich gewohnt weite Strecken zu fahren und habe Dörfer bereist die meines Erachtens weit weg von der Zivilisation sind.
